Incubator

The source of ideas is the ecosystem. We want everyone in the community to feel empowered to look for new ideas.

The Incubator is a new mechanism created by Innotribe to facilitate exploration of innovative ideas in a collaborative way: it is a framework to enable collaborative innovation at a level up from the ‘proofs of concept’ already facilitated by Innotribe.

The goal is to identify – and if appropriate incubate using money from a EUR5 million fund allocated to this purpose – new business opportunities for our customers in which SWIFT could co-invest, and which could benefit from SWIFT’s reach and global mandate to help them succeed. Our aim is to ensure that the time between developing an idea and taking action on it is very short. The Incubator mechanism should speed up the time-to-market for ideas with the greatest potential for upside for community and for us.

Launched in 2009, Innotribe is SWIFT’s initiative to enable collaborative innovation in financial services. Innotribe brings together strategists, business and technology leaders, trend-setters and trend-watchers, and thinkers interested in taking action and shaping the future.
